Caithness Women in Agriculture – Diversification

Book event

Diversification of farming or crofting activities is one of the strategies to reduce the risk associated to a business and stabilise farmer’s/crofters’ income, in particular for smaller farms and crofts.

Popular diversification ideas include agri-tourism, farm shops, honesty boxes, selling your own produce and re-newables, however Jasmine Grant at Braehillor in Dunbeath branched out and opened a sheep dog training business on her croft which is proving to be a great success.

Come and join us on Tuesday 8th July, 11am at Braehillor, where Jasmine will share her journey with us and give us an insight into why she chose this route for the croft and how her business has taken shape.

We will hear the highs and lows of diversifying into a unique market and learn how the dogs are selected, trained and we will see them in action.

Lunch will be provided so booking is essential.

Please use the above map for an exact meeting location. Alternatively, use the following What3Words location: Braehillor.
