Crofting Cows – Healthy in Winter and Keeping Track

This event is part of the ‘Crofting Cows’ series and will focus on two key topics. In the morning we will explore the challenges and solutions to keeping cows over winter. We will be joined by local vets and SAC consultants to discuss the pros and cons of inside and outside options for storing cattle.

In the afternoon we will be joined by Ewen Campbell to talk about electronic cattle collars and how they can help crofters with issues such as identifying your cattle on the hill, and keeping your own cattle separate from others.
