Integrating Trees Network – Walking and Talking Trees

During this engaging event, Johnnie will show how the multiple farm enterprises of mixed cereals, vegetables, pasture-fed beef cattle, woodlands and agroforestry work together to deliver multiple benefits for the farm business, nature and climate including shelter, shade and a varied diet for the cattle as well as the habitat and soil fertility benefits.

You’ll hear from Johnnie about his vision and objectives for the farm and the challenges he has faced along the way. There will be discussions about the process, practicalities and benefits of integrating trees on the farm from grazing cattle within the farm’s woodlands to Balbirnie Home Farm’s latest venture, a 1,000 fruit tree agroforestry system.
