Farmers and drainage contractors, join us at Pitlessie Mill, Cupar on Wednesday 12th February to gain information on what maintenance is permitted to be carried out on the River Eden.

Representatives of SEPA will demonstrate what work can be carried out and what permissions are required.

David Summers, Director, Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board will explain what is most beneficial for salmon and trout. He will identify salmon spawning areas.

Michael Farrel, chairman, River Eden Sustainability Partnership (RESP) will deliver an update on control of invasive species and other work RESP are doing.

Willie Grieve, a local experienced drainage contractor will cover the practicalities of carrying out the work.

Discussion will be lead by Hugh Ironside, Senior Agricultural Consultant, SAC, Cupar and James Smith of W A M Smith & Son.

Lunch is provided so booking is essential.
