Ross-shire Women in Agriculture – Habitat Management
Join us for this on-farm event, at Contin in Ross-shire, aimed at Women in Agriculture.
Would more knowledge of plants, and the habitats they indicate, help you like to manage your farm or croft to further benefit wildlife? Would you also like to know how to draw up or amend the biodiversity audit map for the Whole Farm Plan? Would you like to meet up with other women in the agricultural sector?
Along with Gillian McKnight, MIEEM, we will look at some fields, hedges and ponds to learn about biodiversity measures you can take.
Bring your laptop and login details for RP&S to draw up your own map (one of the requirements of the Whole Farm Plan).
We start at 10.30 am, and thereafter lunch at the Coul House Hotel, Contin. Bring clean wellies for the farm walk in the morning. Finish by 2.30pm.
Booking is essential for catering purposes.
Please use the above map for an exact meeting location. The map pin will direct you to a lay by, where you will be able to park. Alternatively, you can use the following What3Words location: 6 Blackdyke, near Marybank.
