Simplifying Systems South
Post-lambing and calving can be the ideal time to reflect on what worked well and what didn’t on your farm to design an improved system for the future. Join us on Thursday 13th June 10:30 – 15:00 at Girtridge Farm, Drybridge Road, Dundonald, Kilmarnock, KA2 9BX by kind permission of John Howie and family.
In a series of interactive workshops with vets, livestock nutritionists, and agricultural consultants we will cover:
- How technology, including various handling systems, can make working with livestock less physically demanding and improve efficiency.
- The link between nutrition and health, with a key focus on ensuring that lambs maximise their potential over the summer and preparing for the lamb crop of 2025.
There will also be the opportunity to ask our host farmers about their systems.
Lunch will be provided. Please bring clean footwear.
