Cereal Trials Open Evening: Improving Crop Health & Business Resilience – event summary

The SFAS crop health and business resilience event highlighted a positive outlook for grain markets, promising new varieties for wheat and barley, declines in disease sensitivity to some fungicides, changes to buffer requirements for metaldehyde molluscicide products and changes in EFA greening cross compliance.

Further presentations raised awareness on the cost of fungicide programmes, nitrogen use and its impact as a greenhouse gas, nitrogen fertiliser inhibitors and as well as information common NVZ errors.
