Common Grazings Discussion Group – Skye – Event Summary

The launch meeting of the Common Grazings discussion group went well.  The survey undertaken by the attendees has revealed interesting information that will be the basis for future work and materials. This survey was undertaken in all groups so shows common themes as well as distinct issues for each island.

Douglas Watson of SAOS gave an interesting talk on collaboration and co-operation.  He also gave his outsiders view on common grazings which was illuminating.

Sheep Stock Clubs were discussed at this group as they are more a feature of crofting in Skye than the other islands.
