What New Entrants are Saying About the FAS Mentoring Grant

Have you started or taken over a farming or crofting enterprise within the past five years? You may be eligible for fully funded mentoring through the Farm Advisory Service. This programme offers up to four days of tailored support from an experienced mentor whose expertise aligns with your business goals.

Mentors located throughout Scotland can help guide you through the crucial early stages of establishing and growing your business, offering practical advice and support in areas where you may need additional experience.
The mentoring feedback from 2024/25 showed that 100% of mentees would recommend the service to others and 100% rated the following as excellent or good:

• The ease of access to information
• Helpfulness at initial contact point
• Ease of the application process
• Efficiency of the scheme administration
• Mentors working practices
• Quality of the support
