Recording wildlife on your farm or croft

As farmers and crofters the natural world is our office, but have you taken stock of the biodiversity on your land? In the midst of a biodiversity crisis, Scotland’s landscape is rich in wildlife but how much of it do you know of and can you recognise the importance of what you see? With the development of smart phones there are many apps that can help you build a picture of the biodiversity and natural capital on your land. This may become an important part of farming as future policies change. Find out more about the various apps available on our Using technology to record biodiversity webpage.
