WiA: Benefits of Biodiversity, Grasslands & Soil

This is a Women in Agriculture (WiA) event, but all are welcome.

Join us for a biodiversity walk at Oldland Farm (with kind permission from the Templeton family) with SAC environmental specialist Alex Pirie. We’ll look at grasslands, discuss the benefits to your business of soil sampling and what environmental schemes may be applicable to your farm.

Please meet at Kirkcowan Village Hall for 10am where we are starting from before heading out to the farm. Please note appropriate footwear and clothing should be brought and the morning segment will be spent outdoors with a walk across farmland.

Lunch is included and will be served back at the hall, with a short session in the hall before concluding at approximately 2.30pm.
