Funding Opportunities to Improve Herd Performance

As Scotland aims to become a global leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture, there is focus on improving cattle health and performance to improve herd efficiency. This webinar will cover two areas that will help achieve this.

Robert Logan from SAOS will provide an introduction to the MyHerdStats tool and its purpose, familiarising with the layout and highlighting key information to help ask the right questions of management and your herd objectives.  This data is an expression of your own herds performance and aims to ask the right questions of management, environment, and genetics.  The task then is to understand what the information is, and the learnings from it to support herd performance, business and environmental efficiency.

Hazel Laughton from SAC Consulting will also cover the recently published Animal Health & Welfare intervention funding available through Track 1 of the Preparing for Sustainable Farming initiative.
