Video: The Timber Crop Cycle

This video provides a taster of the first day of the Sapling to Sawmill event held at Capenoch Estate in January 2019. We looked at the benefits and practicalities of growing and managing woodlands as part of the farm business.

The event was all out on-site, seeing timber crops at different stages, from planting to thinning, to harvesting.  Estate manager and owner Robert Gladstone shared his first-hand experience and expertise, with SAC Consulting’s Stephen Adlard providing a forestry consultant’s perspective. There were opportunities for questions and discussion throughout the visit, and during the lunch break back at the house.
