Land Management for the Great Yellow Bumblebee

In this short video Helen Bibby from SAC discusses Great Yellow Bumblebees with John Bowler from RSPB.  Filmed on the Isle of Tiree where The Great Yellow Bumblebee is still commonly seen on the Species Rich grassland.  Worth watching for it’s fabulous footage of the coastal grasslands of Tiree along with plentiful information on these rare bees.

Great Yellow Bumblebees are a fast declining National Priority species in Scotland.  Hear about  the best management to protect these species and their dependency on the Machairs of the island that remain stock free in the summer.
