You are invited to join us for the third and final meeting of the East Lothian & Berwickshire Soil & Nutrient Network.Niall Jeffrey, host farmer from Bielgrange, the East Lothian Soil & Nutrient Network host farm

Meeting at Stenton Village Hall we will take a look back at what has been achieved over the last year.  We will hear from our host farmer from Bielgrange Farm, Niall Jeffrey about his future plans to reduce his reliance on purchased phosphate and potash inputs, as well as hearing how the two wheat fields faired in the Nation Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) competition.

Our guest speaker at this event will be SRUC’s soil scientist, Dr. Bill Crooks who will discuss topics including the role of soil organic matter in our soils, phosphate sorption and the importance of sulphur for growing crops.

This meeting is open to all and free to attend.  As lunch is provided as part of the event you are asked to book your place using the booking form below.
