COP26: What can farmers do? Sequestration (webinar)

Farmers have a crucial role to play in tackling the climate emergency, as land managers they have the ability to help sequester carbon by changing the management practices on farms.

Trees, hedges, peatlands and soils all have the potential to take in carbon when managed appropriately. It is possible to sequester carbon in the land while also efficiently producing food.

In this webinar Lillian O’Sullivan of Teagasc will speak about the Irish Farm Carbon project, and farmer Andrew Barbour will speak about his experience integrating trees into his farming system.

This is the fourth in a series of five webinars focusing on the impacts on farmers of both a changing climate and changes in agricultural policies.   Use the links below to find out more about each webinar.
