FAS TV S5 Episode 9
On this weeks FAS TV, we're on the island of North Uist visiting Balranald Hebridean Holidays Campsite, a family run campsite steeped in crofting tradition and heritage on the picturesque west coast of the island, in the heart of the RSPB's Balranald Nature Reserve. Over the years, Anne and her family have grown the business from a small campsite to one which has introduced a catering trailer preparing and selling local produce, including the recent introduction of the Dunes Larder, a modern farm vending retail facility. A key part of the campsite is the employment within the local community and we hear from David about his experience moving to Uist and integrating with the local community.
FAS TV is a weekly agricultural show which recreates traditional on-farm visits.
Designed for farmers and crofters, each episode delivers technical messages in a digestible format, with real farmers demonstrating advice in practice.
