This meeting is the third in a series of three.
In the final session of A Season with Sheep – the winter management and that critical 6 – 8 weeks pre lambing is a key link to lamb survival and profitability in the autumn.
The handling and management of the pregnant ewe is always a concern. Nutrition is the key to a successful lambing and ensuring the ewe has access to a quality feed, enough forage in late winter/early spring is a critical time.
We will discuss ration selection and stock management at a busy time of the year.
SAC Consultant Rob Black will host the meeting and Mary Young, Livestock Nutritionist, Beef & Sheep Select, SAC and Iain Macmillan, Senior Consultant, SAC Lewis & Harris will also host a Q&A session so please get those questions ready.
