About this event
Join our panel for an online discussion about the potential for generating income from selling carbon units from new woodland creation and the importance of natural capital on farm holdings. Join us to find out about:
• How the Woodland Carbon Code works and the natural capital values of new woodland creation (Pat Snowden, Scottish Forestry)
• Funding opportunities for new native woodland creation on farms and examples of recent schemes (Future Woodlands Scotland, Fiona Chalmers)
• Taking forward a woodland carbon scheme – examples of recent schemes and the accreditation and woodland creation process (Claire Wightman – Treestory – EcoCarbon)
• Land manager perspectives on creating woodland for carbon
The second half of the workshop will be dedicated to discussion and panel members will be available to answer your questions. The workshop is free and open to all. Booking is required
