Integrated pest management farm walk, Angus

Join us for a farm walk to see how more effective use of pesticides could save you money, keep on the right side of regulations and improve the farm environment.  This can include cultural methods such as crop diversification and rotation planning, as well as creating habitats for beneficial insects using agri-environment or greening measures.

Hear from SRUC specialists Andy Evans, Henry Creissen and Lorna Cole about the range of approaches that can be used to reduce your reliance on pesticides and provide benefits for economically important pollinator insects. Host farmer Ken Burnett will show us some of the methods that he uses.
