Westhills Discussion Group – Future Agri-Policy – How’s it shaping up?

The meeting this month intends to explore where future agricultural policy in Scotland is heading, and the impact it could have on farming in North East Scotland.

Steven Thomson is a senior economist within SAC Consulting, and has been a member of all the farmer led groups that reported to the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs in the springtime, as well as being a member of the panel in the  Farming for 1.5 Degrees inquiry, which published their report this summer.  He is therefore ideally placed to give the group an insight into where future policy is heading.
