Isolation: Dry Pasture

New animals can be isolated on pasture but any eggs they shed in their dung can contaminate that pasture. This is a problem if the snails necessary for the liver fluke’s lifecycle are present on the ground.

Choose a dry field or paddock to minimise the risk.

Fluke eggs can be shed for three weeks after treatment, so keep new animals on dry ground for this period.
