After working on other farms across Scotland and the USA for 10 years, James MacIver returned home to become the third generation to farm at Wester Coltfield. However, this coincided with increasing input costs and declining returns, prompting a desire to introduce a new enterprise to facilitate becoming a partner with his father Cameron.
