Sheep Health Pre-Lambing (Elphin)
Getting ready for lambing? This event will be a practical event, packed with lots of information and the chance to practice some techniques such as giving IP injections – a great way to rescue cold lambs!
Health and nutrition are the main drivers for a successful lambing and profitable sheep enterprise, and of course, reducing your Carbon Footprint and improving welfare.
Come along to hear the latest advice from research on lamb vigour, essential nutrition and tips on keeping your flock healthy. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in practical sessions on handling and injecting. Siobhan MacDonald and Eilidh Corr will be leading the discussions and practical sessions.

This event is suitable for beginners and experienced lambers – there will be something for everyone to take away. Come along to practice your skills, hear the latest advice and share your experience! Note that we are not using the lambing simulator at this event but you will have the opportunity to practice turning ewes and checking condition of ewes.
Please bring warm clothing, clean waterproofs and clean wellies.
