This is the third and final meeting of the Aberdeenshire Soil & Nutrient Network.
We will meet at our host farm, Auchlossan where a wide range of topics will be discussed throughout the day.
- Grass growth and Silage quality
- Slurry/FYM management
- Soil health and biodiversity
We will look at changes that are being made to the slurry and farmyard manure management on-farm in relation to the results from soil and organic manure analysis and its impact on the first cut of silage.
David Ross, of SAC Consulting, will discuss the importance of soil health and its impact on crops and grassland.
This meeting will round up the varying trials the farm has undertaken over the past year, and what efficiencies can be drawn from the experiments in the local area.
Lunch will be served on the day so please make sure and book your place for catering purposes.
This meeting is free to attend and open to all. You can read more about what has been discussed at the previous meetings of the Aberdeenshire Soil & Nutrient Network here.
