Angus Soil and Nutrient Network – Introductory meeting

Redwell Farm, near Forfar is our new Soil & Nutrient Network host farm in Angus for 2019/20.

Please join us at our first & introductory meeting.  Our guest speaker, Phillip Wright (Wright Resolutions) will be presenting on the key principles of soil management and machinery set up.  Specialising in agricultural engineering  Philip has worked with a wide variety of machinery manufactures to develop different soil management tools.

Our key topics for discussion include:

• Prevention of soil damage
• Natural soil restructuring
• Soil resilience
• Roots and metal
• Principles of soil metal interaction
• Principles of grass weed management in the light of rotations
• Reduced tillage

The event will be split into two sessions to include an introduction to the host farm and the Soil & Nutrient Network, and outdoors, in-field discussions/ practical session.  Lunch will be provided and you are asked to use the booking form below to secure your place and help us make suitable catering arrangements.
