Campbeltown Soil & Nutrient Network – 1st Meeting

This will be the first of 3 meetings of the new Campbeltown Soil & Nutrient Network.

Our first guest speaker is Seamus Donnelly, SAC Consulting.  Seamus has vast knowledge and experience of soil and drainage.  In the context of improving grass growth, Seamus will discuss the importance of drainage and achieving & maintaining the correct pH status in your soil.

Professor Davy McCracken, head of SRUC’s Kirkton & Auchtertyre Farms is our second guest speaker.  Davy will discuss leatherjackets and the control options left now that historic chemicals have been banned.  Davy will also look at the options for and benefits of rush control.
