Integrating woodlands on your farm – walk and talk event!
About this event
Want to find out about woodland creation opportunities for your farmholding? Join us for a ‘walk and talk’ event at SRUC’s Kirton farm, with input from SRUC’s John Holland, Lyn White (Scottish Forestry), Malcolm Young (SAC Forestry Consultant) and local farmers. We will visit and discuss existing woodland creation schemes, including native and riparian schemes and a small-scale agroforestry scheme, and hear about the support and guidance available for farmers undertaking schemes from Scottish Forestry and SAC consulting and some experiences of undertaking recent schemes.
Join us for an enjoyable day of outdoor discussion about woodland creation opportunities for farmers. We will meet at 14.00 at SRUC’s Kirkton farm. Please bring good footwear and waterproofs! This event is free and open to all!
