Introduction to Auction Marts
Buying or selling stock for the first time at an auction mart can be a daunting prospect. How can you ensure you get the best price for your stock? Who can you get the best advice from? What is the auctioneer actually saying?
We will take you through the whole process from choosing and preparing your sale stock; through the practicalities of getting them organised at the mart; selling them through the ring and how to collect your sale money. Sale days are busy, noisy and can be stressful, but they are also fun, exciting and a great social occasion.
This event is both for anyone who has not bought or sold through a mart before, but is hoping to, or anyone who would like to build a little confidence around sale day.
Speakers:
Sam Ferguson – Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd
Angus Ferguson – Senior SAC Consultant
David MacKay – SAC Consultant
