New Entrants To Farming – Grassland Management (Newton Stewart)
With increasing costs for purchased forage and compound feed, maximising your homegrown grass and forage crops has never been more important. This ‘Walk and Talk’ meeting will look at maximising homegrown forage through soil management, different forage options and how to manage them. Host farmer Stuart McWhirter will take us through how he started rotational grazing and the good, the bad and the ugly of the last 12 months.
Bbq lunch will be provided on arrival.
