New Entrants to Farming – VAT Doesn’t Need To Be Vexing (Dumfries)

This FAS New Entrants meeting will explain how to reclaim VAT and complete a VAT return. Come along to this practical session, where you will learn:

• What is VAT and how does it work?
• What information and records do you need to provide and keep?
• What can you reclaim?
• How do you know if you’ve got it right?

It is aimed at those who don’t keep the books themselves (or are new to it), by the end of the evening participants will have the confidence to prepare or check through a VAT return. They will also understand which questions they should put to their accountant about specific aspects of their own situation, and understand the accountant’s answer.
