North Uist Soil & Nutrient Network: Final Meeting, Lochmaddy

You are invited to join us for the final meeting of the Uist Soil & Nutrient Network project.

We will review what changes have been implemented by Donald MacDonald our host farmer at Clachan Farm, and how they have worked out in practice.  Following on from this, Gavin Elrick, a Soil & Drainage specialist with SAC Consulting, will discuss strategies for boosting grass yields in the Uists.

Finally, we will finish with a look to the future where we will consider alternative crops that could be grown successfully on the Uists.
