Fertiliser is often the largest variable cost when growing spring barley with timing and rates critical to achieve optimum yield, market requirements and limit any negative effects on the environment.

This webinar will cover nutrient management in Spring Barley with Prof Ian Bingham describing recent trial work on Nitrogen rates and timings in Spring Barley. Dr Bill Crooks will cover PK recommendations including phosphorous sorption capacity  and sulphur recommendations.

An example nutrient budget for spring barley will be shown demonstrating the variability in recommendations according to different scenarios.
