Women in Agriculture: Inverness – Preparing a Business Plan
Are you thinking of a new farming venture?
Planning to diversify?
We will hear from Michelle Anderson-Carroll of Rivercroft Pedigree Pork; a business that has added value through direct sales, and the ups and downs of starting a food enterprise.
Margi Campbell will explain the pros and cons of different business structures and what to be aware of with VAT. She will also go through the types of terminology that you could need when pitching your new venture to other business partners, potential investors and banks.
Kerry Allison will take us through
- customer needs
- marketing and how to communicate your product
- testing your ideas
And Siobhan Macdonald will work with you to draw up cash flows and Business Plan
Some of the exercises will be based on your own ideas – so the more you bring, the more you will get out of the sessions! If you are a bit further off with any ideas, or would just like to learn more about the processes, then there will be resources to work with for you too.
